Terms Used In Florida Statutes 322.11
- Department: means the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles acting directly or through its duly authorized representatives. See Florida Statutes 322.01
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- minor: includes any person who has not attained the age of 18 years. See Florida Statutes 1.01
- person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
The department, upon receipt of satisfactory evidence of the death of the person who signed the application of a minor for a license, shall, 90 days after giving written notice to the minor, cancel such license and may not issue a new license until the new application, signed and verified, is made as required by this chapter. This provision does not apply if the minor has attained the age of 18 years.
