Terms Used In Florida Statutes 390.01116

  • Abortion: means the termination of human pregnancy with an intention other than to produce a live birth or to remove a dead fetus. See Florida Statutes 390.011
  • Appellate: About appeals; an appellate court has the power to review the judgement of another lower court or tribunal.
  • minor: includes any person who has not attained the age of 18 years. See Florida Statutes 1.01
Any information that can be used to identify a minor petitioning a circuit court for a judicial waiver, as provided in s. 390.01114, of the notice requirements under the Parental Notice of Abortion Act is:

(1) Confidential and exempt from Fla. Const. Art. I, § 24(a) if held by a circuit court or an appellate court.
(2) Confidential and exempt from s. 119.07(1) and Fla. Const. Art. I, § 24(a) if held by the office of criminal conflict and civil regional counsel or the Justice Administrative Commission.
