Terms Used In Florida Statutes 406.55
- Anatomical board: means the anatomical board of the state headquartered at the University of Florida Health Science Center. See Florida Statutes 406.49
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
The anatomical board may not enter into any contract, oral or written, that provides for any sum of money to be paid to any living person in exchange for the delivery of that person’s remains to the anatomical board when the person dies.
