Terms Used In Florida Statutes 497.148

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Department: means the Department of Financial Services. See Florida Statutes 497.005
  • Licensee: means the person or entity holding any license or other authorization issued under this chapter, except where expressly indicated otherwise. See Florida Statutes 497.005
The department shall establish a system to monitor licensee compliance with applicable training and continuing education requirements and to determine each licensee’s continuing education status. The department is authorized to provide for a phase-in of the compliance monitoring system. The compliance monitoring system may use staff and facilities of the department, or the department may enter into a contract for compliance monitoring services, upon such terms and conditions as the department deems advisable. Such contract may be with another government agency or a private business.
