Terms Used In Florida Statutes 501.917

  • Department: means the Department of Legal Affairs. See Florida Statutes 501.203
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
The department has the right to have access at reasonable hours to all places and property where antifreeze is stored, distributed, or offered or intended to be offered for sale, including the right to inspect and examine all antifreeze and to take reasonable samples of antifreeze for analysis together with specimens of labeling. Collected samples must be analyzed by the department. The certificate of analysis by the department shall be prima facie evidence of the facts stated therein in any legal proceeding in this state.
