Terms Used In Florida Statutes 548.077
- Commission: means the Florida Athletic Commission. See Florida Statutes 548.002
- Event: means one or more matches comprising a show. See Florida Statutes 548.002
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Professional: means a person who has received or competed for a purse or other article of a value greater than $50, either for the expenses of training or for participating in a match. See Florida Statutes 548.002
All fees, fines, forfeitures, and other moneys collected under the provisions of this chapter shall be paid by the commission to the Chief Financial Officer who, after the expenses of the commission are paid, shall deposit them in the Professional Regulation Trust Fund to be used for the administration and operation of the commission and to enforce the laws and rules under its jurisdiction. In the event the unexpended balance of such moneys collected under the provisions of this chapter exceeds $250,000, any excess of that amount shall be deposited in the General Revenue Fund.
