Terms Used In Florida Statutes 585.59

  • Garbage: means all refuse matter, animal or vegetable, byproducts of a restaurant, kitchen, or slaughterhouse; and shall include every accumulation of animal, fruit, or vegetable matter, liquid, or otherwise. See Florida Statutes 585.01
  • person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
In addition to the penalties provided by this chapter, any person who is convicted of a violation of the provisions of ss. 585.48585.53 shall not be allowed to recover compensation from the department for the confiscation or destruction of any hogs fed uncooked garbage.
