- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Health maintenance organization: means any organization authorized under this part which:(a) Provides, through arrangements with other persons, emergency care, inpatient hospital services, physician care including care provided by physicians licensed under chapters 458, 459, 460, and 461, ambulatory diagnostic treatment, and preventive health care services. See Florida Statutes 641.19Every health maintenance organization shall pay to the office the following fees:(1) For filing a copy of its application for a certificate of authority or amendment thereto, a nonrefundable fee in the amount of $1,000.(2) For filing each annual report, which must be filed by electronic means in a computer-readable form, $150.
