- person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
- Prepaid health clinic: means any organization authorized under this part which provides, either directly or through arrangements with other persons, basic services to persons enrolled with such organization, on a prepaid per capita or prepaid aggregate fixed-sum basis, including those basic services which subscribers might reasonably require to maintain good health. See Florida Statutes 641.402
Any person, entity, or prepaid health clinic that violates a cease and desist order of the office under s. 641.446 while such order is in effect, after notice and hearing as provided in s. 641.445, is subject, at the discretion of the office, to any one or more of the following:
(1) A monetary penalty of not more than $50,000 as to all matters determined in such hearing.
(2) The suspension or revocation of the certificate of authority of the prepaid health clinic.
