- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
For any municipality, special fire control district, chapter plan, local law municipality, local law special fire control district, or local law plan under this chapter, actuarial deficits, if any, arising under this chapter shall not be the obligation of the state.
