- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
It is the express intention of this part that any pledge of revenues, Hillsborough County gasoline tax funds or other funds either as rentals to the authority or for the payment of the principal of and interest on bonds, or any covenant or agreement relative thereto may be enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction against the authority or directly against the department, the county or the city, as may be appropriate.
