Terms Used In Florida Statutes 380.505

  • Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
The powers of the trust shall be vested in its governing body members. The governing body may delegate such powers to department staff as it deems necessary. Four members of the governing body shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of conducting its business and exercising its powers and for all other purposes. However, the governing body may take action only upon an affirmative vote of at least four members. The governing body shall meet at least quarterly, and may meet more often at the call of the chair or upon an affirmative vote of three members.
