Terms Used In Florida Statutes 462.13
- Department: means the Department of Health. See Florida Statutes 462.01
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Naturopathy: shall be construed as synonymous terms and mean the use and practice of psychological, mechanical, and material health sciences to aid in purifying, cleansing, and normalizing human tissues for the preservation or restoration of health, according to the fundamental principles of anatomy, physiology, and applied psychology, as may be required. See Florida Statutes 462.01
- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
The department may administer oaths, summon witnesses, and take testimony in all matters relating to its duties pursuant to this chapter. Every unrevoked license shall be presumptive evidence in all courts and places that the person therein named is legally licensed to practice naturopathy. The department shall aid the prosecuting attorneys of the state in the enforcement of this chapter.
