Terms Used In Florida Statutes 509.509

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
An action for damages or injunctive or declaratory relief for a violation of this act may be brought by any purchaser against an offeror, a trustee, a salesperson, or a tour generator. The prevailing party in the action may recover reasonable attorney’s fees and costs from the losing party. Relief under this section does not exclude other remedies provided by law.
