Terms Used In Florida Statutes 56.011
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- Person: means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, or any other legal or commercial entity. See Florida Statutes 56.0101
A capias ad satisfaciendum may not be issued upon a judgment, nor may the body of any person be subject to arrest or confinement for the payment of money, except for fines imposed by lawful authority.
