Terms Used In Florida Statutes 627.6401
- insured: as used in this part , shall not be construed as preventing a person other than the insured with a proper insurable interest from making application for and owning a policy covering the insured or from being entitled under such a policy to any indemnities, benefits, and rights provided therein. See Florida Statutes 627.631
- person: includes individuals, children, firms, associations, joint adventures, partnerships, estates, trusts, business trusts, syndicates, fiduciaries, corporations, and all other groups or combinations. See Florida Statutes 1.01
If an insured who has reached his or her 64th birthday but who is not yet 65 years of age pays an annual or semiannual premium that would otherwise pay for coverage beyond his or her 65th birthday, such person shall be entitled to an appropriate refund of unearned premium from the insurer in the event that coverage terminates or is reduced upon the insured’s attainment of age 65.
