Terms Used In Florida Statutes 696.04

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
Sections 696.01696.03 shall apply to all contracts and instruments, which had not been recorded on June 6, 1927; but nothing therein contained shall enlarge, impair, alter, or diminish the obligation of any such contract or agreement affected thereby as between the parties privy thereto, or as to those who have actual notice thereof.
