§ 3201-a. Discrimination on account of sex. Notwithstanding any general, special, local law or rule or regulation of the education department to the contrary, no person shall be refused admission into or be excluded from any course of instruction offered in the state public and high school systems by reason of that person's sex. No person shall be disqualified from state public and high school athletic teams, by reason of that person's sex, except pursuant to regulations promulgated by the state commissioner of education.
