Terms Used In N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law 23-0309

  • Person: means and includes any natural person, corporation, association, partnership, receiver, trustee, executor, administrator, guardian, fiduciary, or other representative of any kind, and includes any department, agency or instrumentality of the state or any of its governmental subdivisions. See N.Y. Environmental Conservation Law 23-0101
  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

The provisions of this article shall be severable and if any phrase, clause, sentence or provision of this article, or the applicability thereof to any person or circumstance shall be held invalid, the remainder of this article and the application thereof shall not be affected thereby.
