§ 99-u. Municipal cooperation agreements for counties. The county legislative body in any county may:
1. enter into municipal cooperation agreements, as provided in article five-G of this chapter, with one or more other counties for the creation of a task force to determine the needs for mutual aid response to natural or manmade disaster, widespread outbreak of communicable disease, mass casualty incident or terrorist attack; to formulate a plan for such mutual aid; and implement such plan; and
2. appropriate and expend such sums as it may deem necessary and proper for the establishment and maintenance of such municipal cooperation agreements.
