N.Y. Insurance Law 330 – Rating services available to other states
§ 330. Rating services available to other states. (a) The superintendent shall have authority to contract with the insurance supervisory officials of other states to make available the services of the rating and statistics sections of the department for the purpose of examining and reviewing rate filings made with such officials and to render such other advisory assistance in connection therewith as said officials may request. The provisions of § 112 of the state finance law shall be applicable to such contracts.

(b) All expenses, including the compensation of officers and employees of the department made pursuant to any such contract, shall be paid in the first instance out of the state treasury on the certificate of the superintendent upon audit and warrant of the comptroller and shall be presented in the form of an itemized bill therefor to such insurance supervisory officials. The state treasury shall be reimbursed by payments thereto by the superintendent of amounts collected by him in accordance with the provisions of this section.
