Terms Used In 10 Guam Code Ann. § 81110

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

relevant information concerning the death, and shall issue a death certificate. The full report and detailed findings of the autopsy, if any, shall be a part of the record in each case. The Office shall promptly deliver to the prosecuting attorney having criminal jurisdiction over the case copies of all records relating to every death as to which further investigation may be advisable. The Attorney General or Chief of Police may upon request secure copies of such records or other information deemed necessary by him to the performance of his official duties. Private persons may obtain copies of records upon such conditions and payment of such fees as may be prescribed by the Commission provided no person with a legitimate interest therein shall be denied access thereto.
