- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
(a) Appointed members of the Commission shall serve a term of three (3) years, commencing with the date of appointment and until successors are appointed and qualified. The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings. The Vice Chairperson shall succeed to the duties of the Chairperson in the absence or inability of the Chairperson. From among its members, the Commission may select a secretary and any other officers, which it may deem necessary, to serve on an annual basis.
(b) Members shall meet regularly, at least once a month, on a day and time that the Commission determines. The Chairperson shall be counted for a quorum and shall vote in all instances, except for those in which a conflict of interest may exist. Four (4) members shall constitute a quorum, and four (4) affirmative votes shall be required for the transaction of business.
(c) The Commission may form subcommittees from among its membership as it deems necessary in order to carry out projects, research, and other activities outside of the Commission’s meetings.
