Terms Used In 15 Guam Code Ann. § 2923

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Probate: Proving a will
e allotment made by the Superior Court in a proceeding for partition as described in this Chapter shall control upon proceedings for distribution, unless modified for good cause upon reasonable notice, and the proceedings leading to such allotment may be reviewed upon appeal from the decree of distribution.
