Terms Used In 18 Guam Code Ann. § 65107

  • Beneficiary: A person who is entitled to receive the benefits or proceeds of a will, trust, insurance policy, retirement plan, annuity, or other contract. Source: OCC
  • Trustor: The person who makes or creates a trust. Also known as the grantor or settlor.
bject to the provisions of 21 Guam Code Ann. ‘13101 [Trusts must be in Writing], a voluntary trust is created, as to the trustor and beneficiary, by any words or acts of the trustor, indicating with reasonable certainty:

1. An intention on the part of the trustor to create a trust; and,

2. The subject, purpose, and beneficiary of the trust.
