Terms Used In 19 Guam Code Ann. § 31210

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The rules of navigation enacted or adopted by the Congress of the United States apply within the marginal waters of the Territory of Guam, and such local rules and regulations, not in conflict therewith, promulgated
by the Governor of Guam.
