June 28 of each year shall be known as War Survivor Remembrance Day in recognition of the Chamorro people who endured one of the most tragic and horrific enemy occupations of the 20th Century. The Governor is authorized and requested to issue a Proclamation annually calling upon the people of Guam to observe War Survivor Remembrance Day. The Governorshall appoint a War Survivor Remembrance Day Committee to plan and make appropriate arrangements for the commemoration of this important, special day.
