Terms Used In 21 Guam Code Ann. § 67204
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The following elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, moving walks or manlifts are exempt from the requirements of this Article:
(a) Those under the jurisdiction of the United states
Government.
(b) Those serving only a private residence and not accessible by the general public.
