Terms Used In 2 Guam Code Ann. § 1109

  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
Upon the conclusion of the roll call as hereinabove set forth, the Presiding Officer shall cause an oath to be administered in the form hereinafter set forth to each of the members elect.
