- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
on the effective date of the statute approving the final plan, it shall be the duty of the Director of Public Works to put into effect the plan so approved and he shall thereupon:
(a) notify the occupants of those buildings properties for which numbers have been provided by said plan of their respective numbers; and
(b) in issuing building permits under the provisions of the Building Law of Guam, assign to such new buildings numbers which have been provided by said plan.

COMMENT: [June 1986] P.L. 14-81:12 (November 1977) appropriated funds for the implementation of an island-wide mapping for home postal delivery. This has been completed, but not all street names and numbers have been installed, so that the island still does not have total home postal delivery.
