Terms Used In 7 Guam Code Ann. § 26602
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
Except as otherwise expressly provided in this Title costs are allowed of course to the plaintiff upon a judgment in his favor in the following cases:
(a) In an action for the recovery of real property;
(b) In an action to recover the possession of personal property; (c) In an action for the recovery of money or damages;
(d) In a special proceedings;
(e) In an action which involves the title or possession of real estate.
