(a) Any commercial marine dealer may sell, or any hotel, restaurant, or other public eating house may serve, during the closed season, Kona crabs or lobsters lawfully caught during the open season by first procuring a license to do so.

Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 188-57

  • Commercial marine dealer: means any person who sells or exchanges, or who is an agent in the transfer of marine life obtained directly from a commercial marine licensee, or any commercial marine licensee who sells or exchanges marine life at retail. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 187A-1
  • Department: means the department of land and natural resources. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 187A-1
(b) The department may adopt rules pursuant to chapter 91 necessary for the purpose of this chapter and to set fees for selling or serving Kona crab and lobster during the closed season.
