(a) There is established the Hawaii broadband and digital equity office within the department of business, economic development, and tourism.

Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 206S-2

  • Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.

  • Office: means the Hawaii broadband and digital equity office. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 206S-1
(b) The governor, upon the advice and consent of the senate, shall appoint a strategic broadband coordinator, who shall be exempt from chapter 76, to head the office.
