Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 329-131
- Medical use: means the acquisition, possession, cultivation, use, distribution, or transportation of cannabis or paraphernalia relating to the administration of cannabis to alleviate the symptoms or effects of a qualifying patient's debilitating medical condition; provided that "medical use" does not include the cultivation or distribution of cannabis or paraphernalia by a qualifying out-of-state patient or the caregiver of a qualifying out-of-state patient. - Prescription: means an order for medication, which is dispensed to or for an ultimate user. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 329-1
Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the prescription requirements of section 329-38 and the board of pharmacy licensure or regulatory requirements under chapter 461 shall not apply to the medical use of cannabis under this part.
