(a) The court shall maintain records of all adult protective proceedings under this chapter. All court documents and records pertaining to the action or proceeding shall be subject to inspection only by the vulnerable adult, and the vulnerable adult’s guardian, conservator, their respective attorneys, the guardian ad litem of the vulnerable adult, and the other parties and their respective attorneys or guardians ad litem.

  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
(b) All other requests for information contained in the confidential record shall be made in writing and shall include the reasons for the request and how the information is to be used and may be granted by the court for good cause.
