- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.

With the exception of the director of corrections and rehabilitation or the director’s designee, and the compact administrator, the terms of all members shall be for four years; provided that the victims group representative and the compact administrator shall be subject to confirmation proceedings under § 26-34. No person, except the compact administrator, shall be appointed consecutively to more than two terms.
There shall be one full-time coordinator position for the supervision of adult offenders. The coordinator shall be appointed by the judiciary.
