Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 377-12

  • Board: means the Hawaii labor relations board, provided for by sections 26-20, 89-5, and 377-2. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 377-1
  • Employer: means a person who engages the services of an employee, and includes any person acting on behalf of an employer, but shall not include the State or any political subdivision thereof, or any labor organization or anyone acting in behalf of such organization other than when it is acting as an employer in fact. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 377-1

Where the exercise of the right to strike by employees of any employer engaged in the State in the production, harvesting, or initial processing of any farm, agricultural, or dairy product produced in the State would tend to cause the destruction or serious deterioration of the product, such employees shall give to the board at least ten days’ notice of their intention to strike, and the board shall immediately advise the employer of the notice.
