- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Employer: means any person having one or more persons in the person's employment. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 386-1
Except as provided in § 386-78, no contract, rule, regulation or device whatsoever shall operate to relieve the employer in whole or in part from any liability created by this chapter.
