Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 440-23
- Boxing: means a contest in which the act of attack and defense is practiced with gloved fists by two contestants. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 440-1
- Commission: means the state boxing commission. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 440-1
- Contest: means match or exhibition. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 440-1
Any contestant who knowingly participates in any sham or false boxing contest shall be suspended by the boxing commission for not less than twelve months from the date of the offense from further participation in any boxing contest held or given under this chapter and may be permanently disqualified from further participation in any boxing contest held or given under this chapter.
