Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 448B-6
- Director: means the director of health. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 448B-1
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The director shall grant, upon application and payment of proper fees, licensure to a person who, at the time of application, holds a valid certification or license as a dietitian issued by another state, territory, or jurisdiction if the requirements for that certification or license are equal to, or greater than, the requirements of this chapter.
