Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 658J-27
- Arbitration agreement: means an agreement that subjects a family law dispute to arbitration. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 658J-2
- Family law dispute: means a contested issue arising under the family and domestic relations laws of this State. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 658J-2
This chapter applies to arbitration of a family law dispute under an arbitration agreement made on or after July 10, 2017. If an arbitration agreement was made before July 10, 2017, the parties may agree in a record that this chapter applies to the arbitration.
