Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 667-59
- Mortgagee: The person to whom property is mortgaged and who has loaned the money.
- Mortgagee: means the current holder of record of the mortgagee's or the lender's interest under the mortgage or the current mortgagee's or lender's duly authorized agent. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 667-1
A foreclosing mortgagee shall be bound by all agreements, obligations, representations, or inducements made on its behalf by its agents, including but not limited to its employees, representatives, mortgage servicers, or persons authorized by a foreclosing mortgagee or lender pursuant to an affiliate statement recorded in the bureau of conveyances pursuant to section 667-58.
