Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes > Chapter 323 > Part IV - Therapy
- Board: means the board of psychology. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 465-1
- Director: means the director of commerce and consumer affairs. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 465-1
- Licensed: means the authority to engage in the autonomous practice of psychology. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 465-1
- Practice of psychology: means the observation, description, evaluation, interpretation, or modification of human behavior by the application of psychological principles, methods, or procedures, for the purpose of preventing or eliminating symptomatic, maladaptive, or undesired behavior and of enhancing interpersonal relationships, work and life adjustment, personal effectiveness, behavioral health, and mental health. - Psychologist: means a person who offers to the public or renders to individuals or to groups of individuals services defined as the practice of psychology. See Hawaii Revised Statutes 465-1
