Terms Used In Idaho Code 19-3202

  • Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
When a material witness for the defendant resides out of the state the defendant may apply for an order that the witness be examined on a commission.
