(1) An Idaho corporation that is licensed under another law of this state or under any law of the United States may apply for and be issued a license under this chapter unless the transaction of business by that corporation as a licensee under another law of this state or a law of the United States violates this chapter or is contrary to the purposes of this chapter.
(2) An Idaho corporation that is licensed under this chapter may apply for and be issued a license under another law of this state or a law of the United States unless the transaction of business by that corporation as a licensee under another law of this state or a law of the United States would violate this chapter or would be contrary to the purposes of this chapter.
Terms Used In Idaho Code 26-2712
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
