Terms Used In Idaho Code 31-3410
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Board: means a board of county commissioners. See Idaho Code 31-3403
- Clerk: means the clerk of a board of county commissioners or his designee. See Idaho Code 31-3403
- Emergency: means any circumstance demanding immediate action. See Idaho Code 31-3403
- Nonmedical assistance: means reasonable costs for assistance, which includes food, shelter and provision of public defender services, and other such necessary services determined by the board by resolution. See Idaho Code 31-3403
The board shall give written notice of its decision within fifteen (15) working days following completion of the interview. In an emergency circumstance, the clerk or his designee shall make an immediate decision regarding nonmedical assistance. The decision of the board is final if a timely notice of appeal is not filed.
