(1) The director shall suspend or revoke the certificate of authority of any service corporation which he finds, after a hearing thereon, is no longer qualified therefor under the provisions of this chapter.
(2)  The director may, in his discretion, after a hearing thereon suspend or revoke the certificate of authority for any violation by the service corporation of any provision of this chapter for which mandatory suspension or revocation is not required under subsection (1) above, or on any applicable ground set forth in section 41-327 (suspension, revocation of certificate of authority, discretionary and special grounds).

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
(3)  No service corporation shall, while its certificate of authority is suspended or revoked, transact any business as a service corporation other than that necessary and incidental to the discharge of its contracts and agreements outstanding on the day such suspension or revocation became effective. The corporation shall not, after the revocation of its certificate of authority solicit or issue any new subscriber’s contracts.
