To be eligible for licensure as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, a person must:
(1)  Not have been convicted, found guilty, or received a withheld judgment or suspended sentence in this state or in any other state of a crime deemed relevant in accordance with section 67-9411(1), Idaho Code; and

Terms Used In Idaho Code 54-2210

  • Board: means the Idaho physical therapy licensure board. See Idaho Code 54-2203
  • person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person;

  • Physical therapist: means a person licensed under the provisions of this chapter to engage in the practice of physical therapy. See Idaho Code 54-2203
  • Physical therapist assistant: means a person who meets the requirements of this chapter and who performs physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated only by a supervising physical therapist. See Idaho Code 54-2203
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
  • (2)  Submit a completed written application to the board on forms furnished by the board which shall require proof of graduation from a nationally accredited school, with a curriculum acceptable to the board, for physical therapists or physical therapist assistants, and have completed the application process; and
    (3)  Have either passed to the satisfaction of the board, an examination authorized by the board to determine his or her fitness to practice as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, or be entitled to and apply for licensure by endorsement as provided for in section 54-2211, Idaho Code.
