(1) State hospital south in Blackfoot, Idaho, state hospital north in Orofino, Idaho, state hospital west in Nampa, Idaho, and the department of veterans affairs medical center in Boise, Idaho, are exempt from the assessment required by section 56-1404, Idaho Code.
(2) A private hospital that does not provide emergency services through an emergency department and is not categorized as "rehabilitation," "psychiatric," or "long-term acute care hospital" as provided in the "application for hospital licenses and annual report" for the most recent year filed with the department of health and welfare is exempt from the assessment required by section 56-1404, Idaho Code.
Terms Used In Idaho Code 56-1408
- Department: means the department of health and welfare. See Idaho Code 56-1402
- Hospital: is a s defined in section 39-1301(a), Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 56-1402
- Private hospital: means a hospital that is not owned by a governmental entity. See Idaho Code 56-1402
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
