- Electronic funds transfer: The transfer of money between accounts by consumer electronic systems-such as automated teller machines (ATMs) and electronic payment of bills-rather than by check or cash. All property taxes must be paid in lawful money of the United States. Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, a county may allow for payment of taxes by use of a debit card, credit card or electronic funds transfer.
